The controller is electronically calibrated, tested for stability, and checked for accuracy and stability of the detection system. Coating on the optics head is inspected, the photometer detector and photopic filters cleaned, and the shutter and aperture mechanisms inspected. The unit is re-lamped, and a spectral calibration is performed and the calibration factors stored in the unit.
